Through our An Post partnership Danske Bank's corporate and institutional clients can avail of An Post's extensive network to make cash and cheque lodgments. A specially developed IT solution connects An Post's retail systems and Danske Bank's IT platform. Over 1,100 post offices nationwide accept cash lodgements while over 200 accept cheque lodgements.
Danske Bank corporate and institutional clients can lodge cash to their accounts at over 1,100 post offices nationwide.
When lodging cash, you must use a pre-printed lodgement slip, your MasterCard debit card or your MasterCard corporate card. The transaction will be processed by post office staff and you will receive a receipt acknowledging the transaction.
Corporate and institutional clients can lodge cheques (including foreign cheques) at over 200 post offices nationwide. If you wish to lodge a cheque to your account, you must use your bar-coded lodgement book. If you require a bar-coded lodgement book please contact our Corporate Support team on 1850 812040.
Complete a lodgement slip recording the lodgement amount in the cheque amount box. Detach the completed slip and enclose both the cheque(s) and the lodgement slip in a cheque lodgement bag (with the lodgement slip facing up). Seal the bag and present it at the post office. Lodgement bags are available at post offices or from our Corporate Support team on 1850 812040.
An Post will accept foreign cheques (foreign cash is not accepted) accompanied by a bar-coded lodgement slip. The credit will be processed by Danske Bank within two business days.
Alternatively, if it is not possible to visit a Post Office which accepts cheque lodgements, you can post cheques to the bank accompanied with a lodgement slip.
Where you choose to post cheques to us you do so at your own risk and accordingly we recommend you retain a copy of the cheque and lodgement slip in case it is lost in the post, as the bank does not accept liability or have the ability to trace these lodgements.

To pay by cheque
Cheque lodgements to your corporate card account are processed in the same way as a cheque lodgement to your current account.
If you wish to make a payment to your Danske Bank corporate card using a cheque, detach the lodgement slip/giro (at the end of your corporate card statement), record the cheque amount in the cheque amount box, enclose your cheque and the lodgement slip in a cheque lodgement bag (with the lodgement slip facing up), seal the bag and present it at the post office. To pay by cash
You can two options to pay by cash at any post office:
- Present the credit lodgement slip/giro and cash at the post office. The teller will scan the bar code and accept your cash payment.
- Present your credit card and cash at the post office. The teller will swipe your card and accept your cash payment.
